Image Converter and Resizer
Convert images between PNG, JPEG and WebP, shrink them to a maximum width and trade quality against file size. Everything happens on your own machine, so nothing is uploaded.
Quality has no effect on PNG, which is always lossless.
How to use
- Pick one or more images. Large batches are fine, they are processed one at a time.
- Choose the output format, and optionally a maximum width so oversized photos are scaled down proportionally.
- Drag the quality slider if you are producing JPEG or WebP, then press convert. Each finished file downloads on its own.
Frequently asked questions
- Are my images uploaded anywhere?
- No. The conversion uses the browser canvas on your own device, so the files never touch a server.
- Which format should I choose?
- WebP gives the smallest files for the web and is supported everywhere that matters. Use JPEG when something old must open the file, and PNG when you need transparency or a lossless copy.
- Why did my transparent background turn black or white?
- JPEG has no transparency. Convert to PNG or WebP instead if the transparent area matters.
